Brie Crepes - The Cheese Shark

These delicious crepes are quick to make. You can either cut them into appetizer pieces or serve them with salad. Brie is the perfect cheese for this recipe. Banana peppers add some spice to it but are optional if you prefer it mild.

Brie Crepes

Makes 3 crepes.

Prep Time:

  • 5 minutes to make the batter
  • 30 minutes to let the batter rest
  • 15 minutes baking and rolling the crepes

Utensils needed:

  • Bowl and whisk
  • Frying pan with a spatula
  • Cutting board and a sharp knife 
  • Large toothpicks

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of all purpose flour
  • ¾ cup of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ tbsp of oil
  • Butter for frying
  • 300 g/ 10 ½ oz of brie cheese cut into thin slices
  • 3 tbsp finely chopped pickled banana peppers
  • 1 tsp Paprika 
  • Fresh parsley for decoration

Brie, chopped peppers, and paprika are evenly placed on the crepe

Procedure:

  • Whisk the flour and the milk
  • Whisk the eggs and the oil, then add them to the milk and flour
  • Refrigerate the batter for ½ hour
  • Add ½ a tsp of butter to the frying pan and melt at medium heat
  • Add ⅓ of the batter to the frying pan, making a thin layer covering the entire pan
  • Fry the crepe until the edge starts to get brown, then flip it
  • Fry the other side for 30 seconds
  • Repeat until batter is used up
  • Place the crepes on a plate and add the cheese slices covering the crepes with cheese
  • Add the banana peppers and the parika
  • Roll up the crepes
  • Cut the crepe rolls into one inch rolls and secure each one with a toothpick
  • Use parsley for decoration
