  • 5 Small Roma tomatoes or large oval cherry tomatoes
  • Depending on the size of the tomatoes about : 1/2 a cup (100 g/ 3.5 oz of goat cheese, cream cheese, or Ricotta. The tulips will look the best with goat cheese since it is pure white.

Procedure:

  • Wash the tomatoes and the green onion.
  • Open the cheese and place it in a bowl and soften it by kneading it with a fork. You can also let it sit at room temperature for 2 hours, so it will be easier to work with.
  • Cut a cross on one end of the tomato about half way down.
  • With a spoon remove the core.
  • Take a piece of the cheese at about half the size of the tomato and turn it into a ball, then stuff the tomato with it.
  • Cut a nice piece out of the green onion to be the tulip stem.
  • With a kitchen knife drill a hole into the bottom of the tomato and stick the green onion with the firm side in.
